The vast majority of hospitality training does not take place in a classroom setting or online, and it's not delivered by a senior training or HR executive. This hands-on workshop is for: Those wanting to level-up team performance by building stronger, more authentic connections with their team. Trust doesn’t just happen; it’s built one honest moment at a time. If you're ready to be the teammate others can count on, this is where it starts. In this engaging, hands-on session, we’ll dig deep into the most critical behavior in The Five Behaviors® model: vulnerability-based trust. Using your full Personal Development Profile (completed prior to the session), you’ll uncover what makes trust easier for you, and what gets in your way when it matters most. Through real-world scenarios, small group discussions, and powerful personal reflection, you’ll explore how fear, doubt, and protection habits show up at work, and what it really takes to move past them. You'll collaborate with others who share similar challenges, share strategies for building deeper trust, and leave with specific actions you can personally take to create stronger, more authentic connections with your team. For our Redondo Beach conference, we are offering multiple ways to participate in service! You can attend one of the two in-person service events, and we also have opportunities to contribute to the two organizations we’re supporting at this conference!
Option 1: Create Gift Baskets for Homeless Children with TAP Into the Possibilities
TAP Into the Possibilities is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting unhoused individuals in and around Los Angeles. You can find out more at Tap Into the Possibilities.
Sunday, 10am – we will meet onsite (ROOM TBD) at the hotel to assemble gift baskets for children who are living in transitional living housing, domestic violence shelters, the Downtown Women’s Center, Precious Life, and other supportive housing facilities. Come join us in putting together baskets for these kids!
If you’re unable to participate in person but want to contribute, we invite you to bring an item for a gift basket – we’ll be collecting items throughout the conference and delivering them to TAP Into the Possibilities for their ongoing needs. Ideas of items include:

Option 2: Enhance the Native Habitat with the South Bay Parkland Conservancy
The South Bay Parkland Conservancy has been committed to preserving open space and creating more parks in the coastal cities of the South Bay of Los Angeles. You can find out more at South Bay Parkland Conservancy.
Sunday, 9:30am – we will meet in the Sonesta Lobby to walk (or Uber/Lyft) approximately one mile to the Hermosa Greenbelt. Once there, we will learn about the importance of native plants, and will work to target invasive monocultures (such as ice plant) along the Greenbelt for replacement with California native plants from the Coastal Sage Scrub plant community, with a focus on Seacliff buckwheat (the host plant for the El Segundo blue butterfly) and other native pollinators that bloom in each season.
